چکیده

Abstract Background Sepsis is the leading cause of death in hospitalized patients intensive care unit (ICU). Although substantial progress has been made studies on treatment sepsis, mortality rate remains extremely high. We have previously reported that electroacupuncture (EA) induced tolerance against but underlying mechanism unclear. Methods C57BL/6 mice were pretreated with EA before sepsis was by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). Then indexes associated pulmonary edema tested. And changes endogenous cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway especially their typical receptor α7nAChR detected. Finally, explored through regulating expression α7nAChR. Results The significantly decreased after while prevented this reduction. Methyllycaconitine (MLA), an antagonist α7nAChR, attenuated beneficial effects EA. On other hand, as agonist, GTS-21 produced similar protective sepsis. Furthermore, EA-induced enhancement inhibition NF-κB lungs reversed MLA administration. Conclusions robustly protects inhibits release activating mice.

Electroacupuncture Suppresses the NF-κB Signaling Pathway by Upregulating Cylindromatosis to Alleviate Inflammatory Injury in Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Rats

Electroacupuncture (EA) may reduce inflammatory injury by inhibiting nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway activation after ischemic stroke. Thus, we explored temporal and spatial expression of cylindromatosis (CYLD), a negative feedback inhibitor of the NF-κB signaling pathway, to learn whether CYLD is essential for EA and reduction of inflammatory injury after focal cerebral ischem...

P133: Targeting NF-Κb Signaling Pathway as Potential Therapeutic with Curcumin in Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis

Curcumin is active component of turmeric and isolated from the rhizome of turmeric, a phenolic natural product. One of inflammatory disease is multiple sclerosis, a multifocal chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease of the CNS, which is also known as a perivascular demyelinating disease. Studies have been shown that neuro-inflammation can have both harmful and beneficial effects on the neuronal...

Glycyrrhizic Acid Attenuates Sepsis-Induced Acute Kidney Injury by Inhibiting NF-κB Signaling Pathway

Glycyrrhizic acid (GA) is a major active ingredient in licorice. In our study, the effects of GA on acute kidney injury (AKI) in rats and its underlying molecular mechanisms were investigated. The sepsis model was produced by caecal ligation and puncture (CLP) in rats. The molecular and histological experiments were performed in the kidney tissues and serum samples of rats. According to the res...

Autophagy facilitates ventilator-induced lung injury partly through activation of NF-κB pathway

Mechanical ventilation is an important supportive therapy in the intensive care unit (ICU) to assist the critically ill patients with respiratory failure. But longer ventilation time has been proven to contribute to the lung injury which has been recognized as ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI). Recently studies have suggested that NF-kappaB signaling pathways may play a critical role in the...

Colorectal cancer and NF-κB signaling pathway

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer death. Progress has been made in the development of chemotherapy for advanced CRC. Targeted therapies against VEGF or EGFR are now commonly used. However, many cases show that tolerance develops to such treatments; therefore, new strategies are required to replace or complement current therapies. Nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) transcripti...
